Coming soon to a blog near you: plans to rebuild a historical treasure now lost to us.
Whites Bridge was burned to ashes on July 7, 2013. Built in 1867, it was the oldest covered bridge in Michigan that was still in use. Our mission is to recreate that history for future generations. The estimated cost to rebuild is $850,000 and the county did not have the bridge insured.
We will be updating this page with information about the project status, fundraising status, building status, and any other status we can come up with. Our plan is to include a PayPal account in the future to make it easier to contribute to the building fund.
